Behind the pseudonym Mashed Motato is a passionate artist/artisan with a drive to help others express themselves through their everyday clothing or cosplays. I’m 27 years old, a loving wife (I crocheted my wedding dress!), a soon to be mom to a little human, and a fur mom to two sausage dogs. I’m a Filipina-American living in the UK with a background full of familial abuse, trauma, and unhappiness. Having emerged from the shadows and begun a new life, my mission for unapologetic self expression developed as a natural by-product of my experiences.
I draw inspiration for my works from different trending fashion aesthetics such as kawaii, coquette, and lolita. I also have a crude sense of humour and I enjoy implementing it in my pieces. Long have I lived a boring, self contained, by the books kind of life, and I know you probably have too. It’s time to bring in a wave of self expression through wearable art.
